Step 1: Apply for Re-totalling
To start, students need to apply for Re-totalling of the marks. As evident, under this, CBSE would only check the answer sheets for totalling errors and also if any question have not been marked by the teacher. A fee as suggested by CBSE would be applicable. Students can apply for as many subject’s retotaling as they want. Also, in case of any change (increase or decrease), the new marks would be treated as final.

Step 2: Apply for Photocopy of Answer Sheet
In case students are not satisfied with the re-totalling, the second step is to apply for photo-copy of their answer sheets. Please remember – students can only apply for a photo copy of the answer sheet for the subject in which they had requested re-totalling. Once the copy of answer sheet (in image form) is shared online, students may check their answers and tally them with the marking scheme of CBSE.

Step 3: Apply for Revaluation
Final step is revaluation. Students, if convinced that they have been marked incorrectly for any specific question, they can then apply for revaluation. Again, students can apply for revaluation only for the subjects for which they have requested a photocopy of. Also, the revaluation process would only be for specific questions and not for the entire paper. Students would also be charged on the basis of number of questions they request revaluation for.
