Taylor Sheridan is a household name these days. The American filmmaker, showrunner and actor is the mind behind many of the most talked-about films and TV shows released over the years. Their original hit Yellowstone is not only the most watched scripted show on television, but has also been the center of some serious headlines this past year.
However, we are not here to talk about that. Instead, we wanted to pique your interest in the film-maker and show-maker who sees his shows consistently nominated for awards – including a few Golden Globes this year! So, here is a list of Taylor Sheridan movies and TV series that we think you should check out.
The reason Sheridan’s Westerns were so great can be attributed to his authentic writing – he grew up on a farm in Texas! You’ll find this dynamic spirit across a collection of creators, from the hit show The Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone to the Dutton family in the Yellowstone prequel, 1883 and 1923.
Needless to say, he’s already thinking about a couple of new shows, 1944 and 2044. (Does He Ever Sleep?) Here is a list of all the movies and TV shows written or produced by Sheridan, along with all available information about them. The new show was eagerly awaited.

Yellowstone
1923
It is the newest prequel to Yellowstone. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren play Cara and Jacob Dutton, leaders of a farm-owning family at the time. If you like any 20th century masterpiece, this is for you. (It’ll make more sense once you see Yellowstone’s first prequel, 1883.)
Lawmen: Bass Reeves
Special Ops: Lioness
The CIA’s Lioness program is composed of some of the toughest and brightest women in the game. This is important to happen, as they will be responsible for eliminating a terrorist group with some ill-intentioned plans. Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman are only two of the Hollywood names starring in the show.
1883
Mayor of Kingstown
Kingstown is a bit of a departure from Mayer Sheridan’s other projects, as it is located in northwest Michigan. Jeremy Irons returns to Sheridan’s team as one of Kingstown’s two powerful brothers, who serve as a liaison between the prisoners and the Kingstown community. When a young guard, Sam, is preparing to deliver a letter to an inmate, Irons’ character works to get him out of bondage.
